Hi I recently bought a new computer and it has 2x2GB RAM preinstalled, but i was thinking of going 8GB. My question now would be what are the specs that I need to know to buy a compatible 2x4GB RAM? is DDR2 800 the specs? if so, so i just buy any brand of DDR2 800 and just plug it in for it to work, no need to configure anything?

PS: I've done a computer scan on crucial and nothing poped up

Then it would be DDR2 800MHz RAM that you need

so whenever i buy ram "DDR2 800MHz RAM" this would be the specs I need? Does this work the same for all computers(including apple)?

After i buy 2x4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM do I just plug it in and it'll just work? or do I need to do anything else?

Apple currently uses DDR3 RAM and it would depend on whether it was a laptop or a desktop to whether the RAM would work.

I also noticed that your computer has 4 RAM slots, so it would be cheaper to get 2 more 2GB RAM sticks than 2x4GB RAM sticks. These are pretty cheap on Newegg and highly rated so if you get those and install them in your computer it would work fine :)

Thank you so much! you're wonderful!
