Universal Question about Microsoft's all-in-one Office app

Can someone tell me if it has full feature parity with the standalone iOS apps? And perhaps my bigger question is why Microsoft has both this app and its standalone apps?

It has all the functionality of the separate apps but use less storage space. why keep both versions? I think MS thought that some mobile users would want to stick with what they are familiar with.
