I know Apple continued to sell the mid-2015 15" MBP through their site until July of this year.
However, was that ONLY the base model (2.2/16/256), or could you customize it beyond that? I didn't think you could, but I have a lead on a 2.8/16/256 integrated model (sort of a weird model, surely a BTO) and it checks out as having been produced in May of this year, and Apple says it's eligible for AppleCare and is covered through close to the end of May 2019 for the standard one year warranty, so I guess it checks out?
