Question about minutes

hey I need to know how much minutes for prepaid I need. Today is last day of my contract and the phone says I have 409 min left out of the $69.99 plan. I payed for proratted+first month+month in advance. Does the unused minute from that proratted and first month get kept(roll over)? or for this las cycle I start with 700 minutes and it went down to 409?
