I just got my new 2005FPW hooked up to my 12" PB and I have a question. it comes with a USB cable. Is that just to power the USB inputs on the monitor itself?

Next dumb question: how do I tell tiger to notice the rotated display? I've tried resizing the 2nd monitor in the "arrange" tab of the monitor settings panel, but it just bounces back to landscape format.

In the "Displays" pane of the System Preferences window (which will open a separate window on each screen) there is a "Rotate" option. Have you tried using this?

And I'm guessing the USB cable is for the hub.

Whoa. I didn't notice a rotate option there at all. I definitely looked for it; I'll have to look again when I get home tonite.

You will notice that your monitor has 4 "standard" USB ports for mice, keyboards, cameras, etc and it also has one square shaped USB port. If you plug in all of your devices to the display, that information has to be transfered back to the computer somehow and the supplied USB cable is the answer.

That's exactly what I figured. Thanks.

Ok, I knew I wasn't insane. Mine doesn't have the "rotate" drop down.
