I have a factory unlocked 8GB 3GS.

Under "About" it still lists Network and Line as Rogers and Carrier as Rogers 7.0. Is this just because I'm using it on Rogers, or is it something to be worried about? I don't have a non-Rogers SIM on me to test out on my phone.

That should be because even if it is factory unlocked, you iPhone detects a Roger SIM, conects to Roger Network and requested iTunes to download the Roger Settings, so that you can connect through the 3G networks, send & receive SMS, make calls and all. If you switched to another SIM from another carrier and if it is a carrier iPhone supports, then iPhone would download setting for that carrier.
