Hey! I bought an iPhone 3GS from my friend for cheap, he said the screen was broken. He bought a new LCD and Digitizer and replaced it but the screen is still mostly white and pixelated. Is it possible that the main board or the connectors are faulty? I'm going to buy a new LCD and Digitizer and would just like to know beforehand so I don't waste any money, thanks! (I can post pics of it aswell) :)

You bought a broken iphone and some story that your "friend" gave you.
I wouldnt keep guessing and purchasing replacement parts. Its not worth it.
Bring it to an iphone repair shop and they should tell you what's wrong with it and how much it would be to fix.
Buying and replacing random parts without really knowing what's wrong can get expensive.

Yeah but $35 replacement part vs. $100+ service at the repair shop, I think it's worth the risk.

Up to you.
How do you know its going to be an $100+ service charge? You can just ask them what's wrong with it and if you dont like the price you walk.
Or play the where's Waldo game.
True, I payed $80 for a digitizer replacement once, crazy huh!
