question about my mbox2 pro

hi i have a mbox2 pro and i see that it has two firewire connection
currently i have one going thru an adapter into my macbook pro.

now question is, is it possible to plug another firewire cable to the second slot on the mbox2 pro and connect it to my windows PC to run protools on my PC?

so i can use logic on mac and use the output on a speaker, that will use the same speaker using protools on windows?

this sounds very "impossible" but i would like to know before i go out and buy another firewire cable

is it only there for daisy chaining purposes?

Yes so long as you do NOT power up both the Mac and PC at the same time. One of the two must be completely "dead off", not just sleeping or unused. With modern computers you have to un-plug the AC power cord or remove the battery to make them go "hard off". So really I think the practical answer is "NO".

The reason for the two FW connection is so that you can daisy chain more devices on the FW bus. Devices like a disk drive or scanner.
