Question about nightstand app

Is there such a way or an iPhone nightstand app that closes notifications? Because the point of the nightstand app is to look at it during the night or whenever you want to. Sucks if it's blocked by apples crappy notifications. Any way to not have them pop up or automatically disappear somehow besides putting my phone on airplane mode? Thatd be awesome! Thanks.
