I created a software raid (using Disk Tools) that's a mirror of two drives that are attached to a Tiger server. The drives are fine but the enclosure that they were in died in such a way the one of the drives is now offline. I'm using the remaining drive until the new server arrives. That means that people have been modifying files on the single drive for a few days (creating, modifying, deleting files).

When the new enclosure arrives and the old (now different) member of the raid pair comes back online, what's the best way to repair the raid so that the changes made in the past few days will be mirrored to the drive that's been offline? Will clicking "Rebuild" in disk tools handle all this automatically? In other words, is Rebuild smart enough to delete, replace, and add the necessary files on the old drive so that it matches the drive that's remained in use the past few days?
