Seeing as a I have no idea what forum this question actually belongs in I'll just hope this is a semi-appropriate place to post such query. Anyways, what would happen if I went into an Apple store with say, a macbook running a pirated copy of Lion? I know jailbreaking an iPhone voids its warranty (or something like that) but what kind of consequences could I face if a Genius Bar employee were to realize I had a pirated OS? Would they even realize it?

Just for the record, my OS is totally above board. I'm just asking for a friend who's still running on Snow Leopard. And hey, such information might be valuable come this summer...

If they do diagnostics on it, they will probably realize its pirated and therefor won't work on it. It takes a lot of balls to walk in a Apple Store with a pirated copy of their OS. DONT DO IT.
