Question about preordering the 17inch MBP

I just had a quick question. Does apple charge your credit card once the Computer is about to get shipped. Or do they charge your credit card right when you order it. I never pre ordered a Apple product before and was wondering if anyone has any input on this.

Duff-Man says....they will not actually charge you card until it is at the shipping stage. They may (probably will) do a pre-authorization on the card though to make sure the charge will go through when it is time....oh yeah!
