Question about previous gem MBP

Hey everyone,

I've been looking around at laptops recently, but I won't NEED one until summer when I'm getting ready for college. Obviously I'd like to have one ummm now but I am making way with my iPod touch for now.
However, I noticed some refurb MBPs and had a question about Apple's policy on the NVIDIA GPUs.

Will they replace the actual GPU in the old MBP or replace it with a new machine?

If the latter, I may very well take that option.

Thinking they will replace- while a pleasant day-dream- ain't gonna happen.

They replace the card. Not the entire machine.
