so i have a MBA 2011 with an i5 1.7gHz processor and a 256gb ssd and 4gb ram. I want to know what would be a good price to sell it for, i dont have the box apple care till aug 2012. The laptop is like new, ie no scratches or scuffs at all. I know this is a marketplace question but i dont have enough posts to access the marketplace. thanks.

I would try to get at least 60-70% of the original price. Also, stay away from eBay—it's a nightmare for sellers these days. Stick to Amazon or Craigslist. If you're lucky, someone might see this post and PM you.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay, or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.
