I'm making a dvd from home videos and I am using idvd to make the main menu. I tried to drag the videos from imovie but it says I first need to publish it and had to go to imovie and choose share> media browser. I did that and clicked the computer icon and it marked youtube, iphone, ipod etc. If i click publish will it appear on youtube? I just wanted to make a dvd. Or will it not be published and its just saying what the video quality will be? I rather ask first then clicking it.

from the iMovie Help file:

To share your project with other applications through the Media Browser:

Select it in the Project Library, and then choose Share > Media Browser.

Select the size that best matches what you’ll be using the video for. For iDVD, the Large size is best.

Click Share.

Rendering can take up to several minutes depending on the size of your movie. It will also take longer if you render more than one movie size at once.

Open iDVD or your other application and then look for the rendered movies in the Movies window or iLife Media Browser.

For best results in iDVD, select the largest movie that’s available.

Hope this helps!

There are higher quality, more advanced ways of doing this, but this will get you started.
