Hey guys, I haven't jailbroken in about a year. I'm curious as to what will happen to all of my data, texts, and what not when I jailbreak using Pwnage. Does it just jailbreak it and leave all of my information and texts and stuff like it is, or does it erase everything? Thanks for your help. I have an iPhone 4 by the way.

Pwnage creates a custom ipsw that you can restore to.
Redsnow just jailbreaks your phone assuming its already on 4.3.1 and leaves everything you have in it untouched.

So what would you recommend I do. Mine is currently jailbroken from a while ago, but I wanna have 4.3.1 and have it be jailbroken while keeping all of my stuff on my iPhone like it is. Thank you.

What firmware are you on right now?
You cant update firmware and keep everything as it is now.
You have to update your firmware and probably restore from backup and reinstall all your cydia stuff one my one or use pkgbackup to backup and restore your JB stuff in batch.

My current "Modem Firmware" is 01.59.00. And I don't have a problem re-downloading the Cydia applications I have, cause I only have a handful. I just want to make sure whatever jailbreak I do, it leaves my iPhone like it was before, in terms of keeping all my texts, music, etc.

Also, I still have iTunes 9.2, not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes, all that is saved on your itunes backup.
So after you restore to either custom or official 4.3.1 itunes will ask you if you want to setup as new phone or restore from backup.
You restore from your backup and all your texts and everything is put back.

Ok thanks, and do I have to upgrade my iTunes first, cause it's currently on 9.2.
