So I'm thinking about buying this macbook pro that i found on craigslist the only problem it displays the desktop 4 times on the monitor, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem? I have never owned a mac but ive been wanting one for my video editing and i saw this laptop and its a steal if i could figure out the problem. The owner thinks it might be the graphics card if that helps. Here is a picture of what im talking about.

I wouldn't buy any used MBP with problems. Even if you think you know how to fix it, you might be wrong and stuck with a bad MBP.

If it is the GPU, how do you propose to repair it? The GPU is soldered onto the logic board. Its a component not designed to be replaced.

I'd move on and find a laptop that is fully functioning.
