Question About Replacement Phone

Unfortunately my phone ended up having the yellow discoloration and also has a loose volume button...

I know a couple people have been able to get a replacement. I was wondering, do they give you a brand new phone (with new sim) or do they give you a stock replacement that you just pop your sim into?
