Hey guys.

I've asked this question to Apple after a long wait time on the phone but I just want to make sure:

I recently sold my iphone 3GS locally. It had some valuable personal information on it, so I restored it before hand.

I basically sold it on the cheap because I lost the sim card tray. After I restored it, it was stuck on the "please insert valid sim to unlock" screen. Is the information wiped off the phone?

I checked itunes and there is no backup or anything. No contacts or any of that other info got synced.

Let me know. Thanks.

Yeah, I think you should be ok. The sim card is the connection to AT&T. But the data exists upon the actual iPhone itself. Doing a wipe should clean it out.

Anyone else confirm?
