I know that if I perform a backup before restoring my iPhone, I'll apparently get everything back if I restore from the backup. But just to clarify, do I really get EVERYTHING back? The main things I'm concerned about are texts, photos, and app saved data (specifically the saved data, not just the apps themselves), but I'd also like to know if I'd lose anything more trivial, like any settings that I've configured. For instance, I found one person online saying that all of their alarm clocks were deleted and their clock was set back to Cupertino time. I know that's trivial and can easily be fixed, but I would just like to know of anything I'd lose, however small.

Can somebody please answer my question? Sorry, it's just that I was planning on restoring my iPhone soon.

That page isn't really clear as to what gets saved, such as app saved data. Just to be clear, I would be restoring the iPhone to its factory settings, and then restoring from the backup that I had made right before doing that.
