Question about return/exchange of Iphone4

I pre-ordered an Iphone4 in black because obviously there were no white available. Also at the time, i read a couple rumors that the white wouldn't come till as far as late july. So my question is, if Apple finally comes out with the white version on release day, can i take my black one and exchange it?

I asked a friend (works as a apple genius) that very question, he said doubtful. But I can't see why not... but I also can't see why you wouldn't allow pre-order on in next to the black one and tell people it's going to ship later but still allow them to pre-order

It's a pretty safe bet that there won't be any on the 24th... but the short answer is if you can get your hands on a white one within the 30 days you should be able to exchange.
