All,

I just bought a 13 rMBP and when I click about this mac it reads MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012. Is this the latest? JW since it says Late 2012 and I wasn't sure if it should read early 2013. Thanks!

Check the back.

Thanks for the replys but simply put - if I bought a Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch yesterday, should the latest version read "Late 2012." Just want to make sure I got the latest (e.g., shouldn't read "Early 2013").

It "should" read "Early 2013", but depending where you bought it from, it is logical to receive a "Late 2012" model.

Thanks for the response. I got it from MicroCenter; however, is there any difference in the late 2012 versus early 2013? Thanks again.

There are a couple threads on the subject with a bit more detail. I think the differences vary with model. But in general, the 2013 processors were updated a rev level with a slight speed bump and pricing changes. Dunno if you would notice a difference. LG screens are typically rev 2s in 2013.

Many retailers are running fire sales on 2012 models, plenty of good deals out there.

It depends on which model. If it's the 2.5Ghz/128GB model then there's very little difference.

The 256GB model got a bump to a 2.6Ghz CPU for the 2013 model.

If you got a discount on it then I'd say just stick with the 2012. If you paid full Apple retail price then you should have gotten a 2013 model at this point.

Thanks! I got it for 1350 so will stick with it, but appreciate the replies.
