Question about screen protector install (Iphone Pro 12)

I know a few weeks ago there were cases of the guide used for installing glass screen protector was scratching the stainless steel sides.

Is this still the case? Is there a certain brand to stay away from?

I was planning on using these.

The Spigen install tray did not leave any marks on my 12 Pro

If you are worried about marks from screen trays, get some blue painters tape for the sides of the phone and you shouldn’t have any problems.

I’ve installed 4 of these on new phones with no issues.

I applied the ESR screen protector last week and had no trouble with scratches or anything. Liked it actually even better than the spigen ones I applied last year on my XR...
