Alright so I am planning on getting the new iPhone 3G when it comes out. To make some of the money back I am going to sell my iPhone to my buddy. Here's the problem. He has AT&T also and currently has a Samsung Blackjack. He doesn't want to change his plan to the official iPhone plan or get the data plan because he doesn't need it. He also wants to be able to keep his unlimited texting plan he has on the Blackjack.

I assume that this can not be done by just having him put his sim chip in the phone like other cellphones since there is the whole iTunes activation process. Would he be able to do that by jailbreaking and unlocking the iPhone? Or is it impossible.

Thanks
