I got stuck with a $120 restocking fee for exchanging my 2.2 gz macbook to get the 2.4 gz macbook so I'm trying to make up the differences. I'm selling both my 2GB RAM and 160GB hard drive for 120 total.

Since I have no need for the stock 160GB hard drive, I just swapped it out and put in my 320GB hard drive, plus I had my 4GB RAM already.

Now I'm selling my never used 160GB hard drive to someone on craigslist. I never did any registration or anything. I never even booted the 2.4gz macbook up with that 160GB stock hard drive.

So the person I'm selling it to has a first gen macbook (mid or late 2006). I know that my apple 160GB hard drive will work in a first gen macbook. But can they go through all the original options (like registration and etc) on that hard drive?

No worries

If you never booted with the original drive then it should still contain the operating system in an unconfigured state. When they boot it for the first time it'll just present them with the standard setup and registration screens.
