Aloha everyone,
I have two Macs, an iMac and a Macbook Pro, and my iTunes library on an external hard drive. I normally use my iMac to manage the iTunes library, and pointed iTunes on my Macbook Pro to look for the iTunes library on the external drive. I recently did some housecleaning in iTunes (from my iMac), but when I fired up iTunes on my Macbook Pro, the changes were not evident. How can I make changes to the iTunes library across the board (ie., on both Macs)?
Now, on both Macs, I still have an iTunes folder in Music that contains the iTunes Library file, but there's also an iTunes Library file on the external drive. It was my understanding that, as both Macs point to the iTunes Library file on the external drive, the external drive has the operative iTunes Library file. I copied that file (from the external drive) to my Macbook Pro, but even then the recent changes were not reflected.
Does anyone else maintain their iTunes Library this way? If so, can you tell if I'm doing anything incorrectly? if you need any additional information or would further clarification, either post here or zag me an email at: HawaiiMacAddict@gmail.com.
Mahalo in advance,
