If I right click on a file or folder and check my sharing & permissions, it lists three values:

Dan (Me)
(unknown)
everyone

Is the (unkown) value normal or default? I don't remember seeing it before?

No one else has noticed a (unknown) in their Sharing & Permissions since the leopard upgrade? Any idea what it could be?!

I did. Due to some minor change in permissions structures, I think to make OS X fully UNIX certifiable, and having to do with getting rid of NetInfo, the group formally associated with with your user in Tiger no longer exists. If you upgraded to Leopard from Tiger, the group that formally shared your user name will now appear as "Unknown".

I think you can delete it from permissions lists if it's really bothering you, it shouldn't change your access rights.
