I have been using Word to take notes in class for about a year now. I always use bulletting and in the past I have been able to use tab to increase the indent and switch to the next bullet type (bullet indent). Now, tab only tabs and I have to press apple-right arrow to do a bullet indent. Since apple-right arrow is 'end page' on a Powerbook keyboard, I can no longer use this function.

Can anyone tell me why the keys' functions has changed and how I can get it back to the way it was? I've tried cntrl clicking the bullet indent key and going to properties and keyboard to set tab as the hot key, but it won't allow me to set tab as a hot key. Taking notes is just that much more of a hassle now, and I'd like to get it back the way it was.

In Word Vx (but I expect it's the same), go to the Word Menu, Preferences, Edit, and check 'Tabs and Backspace set left indent'.
