Whenever I go to places like amusement parks and the beach I don't feel too comfotrable bringing my brand new iPhone. Instead of having to worry about it, is it possible that I can put my sim card into another AT&T phone without changing anything on the plan? Also, when I plug it back into my iPhone will it be back in it's previous state? Sry if this is a dumb question but I just want to be careful....

I do it all the time using a Nokia N75.
Works fine, I can make and receive calls.

I usually do that when I'm hiking, or going to an amusement park, etc.

yes you can use your sim card in any of your carriers phones (assuming they all are GSM and require sim cards)...

nothing on your iPhone changes when you pop out your sim card (besides the fact that you can not make calls and can not access your carriers internet)...

you also shouldn't need to change anything plan wise...

Yep. When I water damaged my iphone I popped the sim into my old razr until I got my replacement.
