Question about Smart Cover

Finally got my order in. Was trying to order with a smart cover but the cart kept timing out so when if finally got to check out it didn't have my smart cover order in there. I figured the hell with it I'm not gonna risk timing out again and just ordered without it. My question is I can just go buy a smart cover locally and it will still work with the new Ipad correct?
