Hello.
I have a question about software option when I buy MacBook Pro through Apple's website.
In the option when I buy MacBook Pro through Apple's Online shopping, it has option to choose softwares.
It have: iLife ’08, Final Cut Express 4, Aperture 2, Logic Express 8.
What are these programs and should I buy these softwares?
Thanks for reading this.

iLife 08 is included with the Mac.

Logic (Express) is for music production.
Final Cut (Express) is for video editing.
Aperture is for photo management and correction.

You can do all those things with iLife 08 which is included. Those other apps are the professional versions if you need more advanced versions. If you don't know whether you need it or not, then I would say with 99% certainty you don't need it!

Thanks for replying me

Is there any reason you did not just go to the relevant pages on

Apple.com

By the way you will probably find iLife useful.

Keep in mind that if you buy the software pre-installed on your Mac rather than separately later, it will make your Mac a custom-order (other than iLife of course). You may have already customized other stuff, so it won't matter, but if not it may add time until it ships compared to the stock version.

You can de-select iLife ? Never knew that!..

You'll seriously regret not including iLife in a big way - just for iPhoto and iMovie alone...

No, you can't de select iLife. OP, are you referring to iWork '08? iLife comes on every mac, you can't de-select it. iWork is an office suite.

I can de select iLife08, if i buy MacBook Pro from Apple site directly, using customize. i can select all the software as None.
And I'm going to buy Mac compatable MS Office 2007 Student Edition and Adobe Photoshop for my Art major.
So, I wont be using the iLife08

I still think you're confused. iLife is INCLUDED with OS X for new computer purchases. It's not something you pay for, or have an option for. You are referring to iWork, which is the Apple "MS Office" suite, which you probably don't want.

This is iLife: http://www.apple.com/ilife/
and it comes with your computer...
