question about software updates

this is for all updates but let's talk about itunes specifically:
should i download 4.8 before 4.9?
or can i jus go straight to 4.9?
does it even matter?

You should be able to go to 4.9 directly, there's no need to upgrade to 4.8 first.

If you wern't able to go from wherever you are to 4.9 then it wouldn't even be an option. I have had that a few times after a reinstall where I have to update to some intermediate point and then to the new version, but Software Update handles all of that for you.
