I was wondering whether you have to take out the SIM card when selling Sprint IPhones. I know that with ATT you have to because it connected to the account, but I don't know if that applies to Sprint as well because they use different tech. Does anyone have any idea? I debating on selling my phone and I don't know if I would have to take out the sim or I can sell it with the SIM in it as long as I activate my account on a different phone.

Thanks for any help you guys!

I'm using iPhone 5 with Sprint. if you take out the sim card, the screen will show NO SIM but you still connecting with Sprint. And right now , Sprint won't be unlock iPhone 5.
+ If you want to sell it , you have to call for customer service to disconnect your service with your iPhone 5 ( show them you phone number and IMEI ) and make sure no more service with your Iphone 5 before give it for another people. And $$$ come to your pocket :eek::eek::eek:

On Sprint, the SIM card is used for international roaming and is attached to your account. When selling your phone, it is best to remove the SIM card and have the new owner get one from a Sprint store, which shouldn't be a problem. You don't want to give away the SIM card because even though the iPhone's ESN will be reassigned to someone else's account, the SIM could erroneously still be attached to yours.

Thanks a lot. I figured taking out the sim is always the best choice. Just wasn't sure if it was completely necessary when it comes to sprint.

Much appreciated.
