Hey guys,

Im not a student yet and i think i will be starting in Sept.. Now i want to get the student discount on apple.com and i did choose my college that i will be going to, anybody here got the discount before like that?
i hope they will not contact me and ask me to send my id or letter

btw im not trying to scam apple or anything, they get that money from the goverment anyway.. :D

Im doing the same thing. I don't think it's an issue.
 
Apple doesn't require you submit proof of actually being a student before you buy. They may audit some of their student sales and ask for proof then, but by that time you should comfortably be a student. Even if you aren't, I'm sure you can explain your situation and they'll understand.
 
you don't even need to be a student, according to the website all you need is a letter of acceptance from any college or university and since you are starting in September you should already have the requisite documents to purchase a new computer!

You are fine as long as you have a letter of acceptance from any college, which means you can be tricky and use a letter from a college you are not going to.
