Does the new phone come with a sim chip remover or do I have to go to AT&T to have them switch it out? Thanks!

Just use one of these:

Thanks, I didn't want to use a paperclip and risk scratching a new phone, now all I have to do is switch the chip and I should be good to go right?

Make sure you use the RED paperclip. a blue one breaks your warranty

I thought the tool that came with the 3gs was a scratch tester for oleophobic coating. You mean I've been trying to scratch up my phone with the tool for nothing?

The new phone will come with it's own sim card. I brought my 3G sim card with me to the store and they said to just hold onto it because the 3GS already had one in it. So if you plan on keeping your 3G, you might as well just leave the sim card in it because it will be deactivated anyway.

And how would using a paperclip be any more of a risk of scratching your iPhone than using the sim tool?

god knows, some people are just a little deluded. you just have to nod and smile politely, after all they did start a brand new thread with a ridiculous question. if the 3gs didn't come with a tool to open the sim tray, how would people who have had it delivered to their house put the sim in?

Please tell me this thread is a joke..... really, please say it is. If you used a paper clip would you spaz out and miss the hole? With apple's "official" SIM removal tool you're ice?
