Question about switching from BB BOLD PLAN to Iphone

Hey guys! I just ordered a Iphone 3GS 16GB White and im switching from a BB Bold. I ordered from Apples website and when i tried to order from AT&Ts website it said that my BB data plan will be canceled as soon as i order the Iphone, but regarless, will the Iphone come activated already or will i be charged until then if i use my internet and emails etc etc?
