I currently have an iPhone 7 Plus with T-Mobile, and I've got JUMP on Demand. For the last two releases, I've been able to get my phone on launch day by ordering online. However, T-Mobile's coverage has declined at my house and at my job, and Verizon has superb coverage at both. Therefore I plan to switch over to Verizon, but how do I go about doing that? I went to the store Saturday and I was told that I wouldn't be able to preorder the new iPhone, so what should I do? Should I try to line up at the store early on the morning of the release and try to get my hands on a new iPhone? I'd appreciate any suggestions and tips. Thanks!

Switch now. Order the cheapest phone you can find. Pick a plan. Pre-order the Iphone on a second line. Return the first phone you purchased and tell them you want your pre-order as your main line, cancel the second line. Or if your Iphone 7+ is already paid off just take service with Verizon, pre-order the Iphone and sell your 7+.

You will have to order through Verizon (not through Apple). I recommend hitting up VZW's chat or giving them a call before everything goes live.

Agree with the above comment. Except, if your iPhone 7+ is T-Mobile model then it is not compatible with Verizon due to not supporting CDMA. Hence, you need to get the cheapest iPhone compatible with Verizon first, get Verizon service plan then preorder the new model. I hope the best for you.

There are going to be 4 lines on the plan but I'm the only one seeking the new iPhone. The guy at the store told me to just line up early that morning and try to grab one and then set my line up. I think that's risky though because who knows if they'll even have the iPhone X in stock
