Question about T mobile insurance and apple care

I bought my 5s n the plan I got included insurance with 175.00 deductible . Could I also buy apple care and use them for 2 accidental damages at 79.00 before I use the T mobile insurance ? Or would I be forced to use the T mobile insurance since they sold me the phone ?

If you also buy the Applecare+, then you should be able to use either. I had a hard time deciding which to buy. In the end I went with the carrier insurance this time, because it covers loss and theft.

Jus seems like carrier is so high a deductible ? But since it covers theft I guess it's better than Apple care .

Too bad the carriers insurance won't let us take a lose/stolen coverage at a reduced rate, over the full package, and get applecare + for the damage coverage part. Just a thought. Or how about this one, have Apple offer both spills damage and lose/stolen coverage. Just another simple minded thought....

I like Apple Care but that's because I trust them based on good service in the past.
