I know there isn't a character counter, but is there a message counter that tells you how many messages you've received/sent? I don't have unlimited texting and I wouldn't want to go over.

If not, I'm probably better off just getting unlimited text messages rather than risking insane fees.

Do you think someone would develop an app that tracks the number of text messages you're sending/receiving?

Not sure if something exists, but I know with my unlimited text msg plan, my total text msgs per month are over "6,000-7,000" between (3)iPhones & (1)Blackberry. I paid for (2) months of overage totaling $156, while AT&T took care of (1) month of overage $75. Pay the $29.99 it's worth it for Family Text Plan, it should be cheaper for a single plan.

I don't see one on mine. I think there's a way to do it through one of AT&T's Web services. You can probably logon to your account online or use one of their star services (like *646# to check minutes).
