I have had it in for about a week... Today I am at my lowest amount of inactive RAM, about 3.09GB. I just checked activity monitor and I am swapping 1MB? And have 11 page outs?

What is going on here?

how are you finding performance? is it effect it at all? if not, dont worry so much

performance seems fine. Not running anything demanding right now though. Maybe it dipped very low before and has recovered some of it? Not sure. It seems fine right now though.

No matter how much RAM you have, you will ALWAYS get page outs.

I remember on my 2.8GHz 8 Core 2008 Mac Pro, I had 16GB of RAM and I still got page outs. LOL.

Wow but this is the first time that I've ever used 8GB of RAM in a notebook and its so fast! Its a difference between night and day. Basically this is how an i7 notebook is supposed to run! :D

Ya I am very happy with my C2D and 8GB of RAM. Should last me a couple more years will a newer, bigger better processor is out there. I think I will wait for an 8 or 12 core 4.xxGHz mobile processor :)

Works for me! lol

Thanks again! (This place is starting to grow on me... I spend WAY to much time on it now!)

Ya too late, I am in. Don't spend nearly as much time on my photography site as I do on here now haha
