Question about the apps store

I bought an app that is no longer available, but it's still saved to my itunes and on my iphone. It was a free app. If I buy an ipod touch, can I install the application onto it? Or would it need to still be in the app store?

as long as it is on your iTunes and you sync the new iPod to it, it should transfer over no problem
