I have an appointment soon, hoping to get the topcase replaced on my macbook as I've fallen victim to the cracking due to the magnets/ ridges on the bezel.
When I received my macbook in Oct '07, I got the standard 1GB RAM with it. Since then I've upgraded to 2GB RAM from Crucial.

Because my macbook is under warranty with the 1GB RAM that Apple installed, does that mean that I have to put that back in when I go to the Genius Bar?

Thanks, b.

No, you won't have to. If there's a remote possibility of the RAM causing the problem, then you'd need to put the original RAM in, but these 2 things are completely unrelated.
