My dad is currently on the $30 unlimited data. He is upgrade eligible and will upgrade. I will also add a new line and get a phone for myself.

Will that $30 unlimited plan still somehow stay or will it be gone?

Also, with family plans, would it be 4gb of data shared between 2 phones if it is gone?

Your dad will have the option for unlimited

All new lines will not. So no, you will not be able to have unlimited and must get one of the new plans

Data plans are per device, they aren't pooled

I believe he would be able to keep it but you have to choose from on of the new plans

lol, so it looks like I will be getting my dad's phone and he can have the new line. Cool. He hardly uses it anyway and is not very computer savvy
