question about the hard drive.

I'm looking to get a new Macbook but I was looking at their hard drives and even though 250 or 320 is enough space.. i don't believe 5400 rpms is fast enough. how can i make sure i get the right kind of hard drive to go into the new macbook and it works correctly?

EDIT: If i get a new hard drive that is 7200, will it affect battery or any other performance?
