How does it work in regards to the iPhone 8? I have yet to sign up for the Apple upgrade program. I have been waiting for the 8, and didn't want to get a 7. Do I have to enroll prior to the preorders or can I enroll once the preorders go live?

You can't enroll ahead of time, you enroll when you're purchasing / pre-ordering the phone.
