I recently bought a 1TB Western Digital hard drive to use for media storage and a Time Machine backup. I partitioned the drive so that 250GB was for Time Machine and the rest for my media. After selecting the drive in the Time Machine preferences, it started to make the backup. Although instead of having two drives now on my desktop, I have a third on titled "Backup of Craig...MacBook Pro." If I click into that drive, the backups are there. If I click into the other Backup hard drive on my desktop, there is a dmg fine in it called "Craig C's MacBook_002332d68658.sparse bundle" Any ideas what that is?

I attached a picture to show what I mean.

It's normal. Time Machine uses sparsebundle image files to back up via AEBS/TC attached HDDs. The third drive you're seeing isn't a drive. It's the sparsebundle image file that Time Machine has mounted on your desktop in order to do the backup. Just let it do its thing and it will unmount the image file when it's done.
