i backed up by time machine about 2-4 months ago and just once


now i want to backup again
will the old backup delete ? or will i lose anything ??

i want to clean install SL

if i clean install SL will it force me to restore the data from time machine ??
or can i restore later ??
 
do you feel that you are using a new MBP that you just purchused ? (after the clean install ?? o_O

Reinstalling can fix some problems and sometimes speed up your computer a little, but if you restore and go back to using your computer the same way you used to it will most likely run at the same performance level as before. If you need to speed up your computer let us know. That's a different problem.

It will restore pretty much everything in you're home folder which includes music, preferences, pictures, everything, from the latest backup you have.
