iPod touch Question about touchFree

Can i use touchFree (the new GUI one) without restoring my iPod so I do not lose my music? Is this advisable, and has anyone used the new version with or without restoring.

you dnt necessarilly have to clear your music and restore your ipod before jailbreaking as i tried it, although i used ijailbreak because im on a mac though.
