Yes, I know there are many topics like this -- but hear me out, this is a slightly different question and one I wasn't able to find the answer to by searching.

I'm going to be transferring an unlimited plan to my new AT&T iPad when it comes. But I don't want to completely lose service on the old iPad. Is there anyway to still pay for service on the old iPad, even if it's a tiered / normal plan?

The answer to all of these kinds of questions is always the same: Call AT&T to discuss specifics of your plan(s). It sounds like you'd just transfer the unlimited plan to the new device and pay for a separate plan on the old one.
