So I just purchased a used 4s, and it's jailbroken. How can I unjailbreak it? Is it possible to right off the phone by erasing all content and settings or how can I do it?

Just bring to DFU mode and restore the phone. Connect your phone to the computer, and then hold down power and home for 10 seconds. Then let go of power and keep holding home for another 7 seconds. iTunes should recognize your phone is in recovery mode, and allow you to restore.

Plug it into iTunes and restore it then set it up as new. You can erase all content and settings as well. Does the same thing.

It's not necessary to put it into DFU mode. You can still restore it in iTunes normally.

It won't ruin my phone if I do it from the phone?

I would do an iTunes restore to be safe though.
Alright, would I have to do anything else on the phone other then just clicking restore? Do I have to do what the poster above said to put it into the other mode?

Nope. Just click Restore then set it up as new afterwards. If that doesn't work and you get an error, you'll need to put it into DFU mode and then restore it. It's hit or miss.

I'm just going to plug it in right from the beginning just to be on the safe side.
